An RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) valve is a device that is used to protect the drinking water supply from contaminati RPZ's are typically installed onto lawn irrigation, boilers that fire over 200,000 btuh, fire supression systems, and food or chemical processing equipment. Annual certification is required by state law. Contrary to popular belief, if you have an old lawn irrigation system that does not have an RPZ, one must be installed. There is no such thing as a "grandfathered" system.
Ravinia Plumbing & Heating has the licensing and certifications necessary to install, service and certify all RPZ devices, from 1/2" through the largest industrial RPZ's in existance. Unlike most of our competitors, we do not charge more to test larger devices. In addition to RPZ testing, we also perform Cross Connection Inspections as required by some municipalities.
One word of caution, shopping for the cheapest cerfitication may result in bait and switch tactics. There are a number of dishonest companies who have to augment their ultra-low certification pricing by telling you a device requires a repair. As with most things in life... you get what you pay for.
